12/13 WEEK UPDATE

Time for those pregnancy updates again... I am not promising there will be as many as last time... but I am going to do my best :)

How Far Along: 13 Weeks tomorrow - Photo taken at 12 weeks

Size of baby: Baby is the size of a peach - 3"long

The Bad: Nausea - although it has not been as bad as with Nolan and still pretty TIRED.

Maternity Clothes: I just gave in about a week ago and decided to start wearing maternity pants/shorts - just too uncomfortable not to.

Gender: We should find out around 20 weeks... (We may have a "sneak peek" at 16 weeks.)

Sleep: I am getting up at least once to use the bathroom each night - I know this will only get worse... Other than that I am sleeping pretty well so far.

Movement: Nothing yet - can't wait :).

What I miss: Having more energy.

Cravings: No real cravings this time that I can tell... I have been eating a lot of cereal... but I always do that.  No food aversions yet either really - I thought the Mexican aversion was going to come back, but (to Josh's relief) it seems to be tolerable this time.

Symptoms: Nausea and a little heartburn has started... Tums are my friend at night.

Best Moment this week: Hearing the baby's heartbeat (159) at my Dr. Appt.  Always such a sweet sound :).

13/52 :: BIG BROTHER

That's right!  Nolan is going to be a Big Brother this year - his baby brother/sister is due October 18th.  They will be almost exactly 2 years apart.  We are beyond excited and thankful for this new addition to our family.

Nolan was sporting his BIG BROTHER shirt when we face timed Mimi & Grammy/Papa to tell them the news a few weeks ago.

Nolan doesn't quite understand all of the changes that are in store quite yet... but he is definitely starting to notice that there is something different going on with Mommy's tummy.  We are all excited to meet this new precious little one very soon!

Nolan's 18 Month Update

NOLAN'S 18 MONTH UPDATE:

Weight: 28 lbs (Measured on Home Scale)

Height: Need to Update (Would not stand still long enough :)

Clothes Size: 24 month (Some 2T shirts)

Diaper Size: 5 (Huggies Snug & Dry)

Sleeping Patterns: Nolan is sleeping through the night (8:00PM - 8:00AM) consistently now.  Sometimes he wants to sleep in even later and I have to wake him up so that he will still nap in the afternoon... He takes an afternoon nap for about 2 hours.

Milestones: Teething: Nolan still has only14 teeth.  Nothing new since his one year molars came in.  Nolan is walking  running EVERYWHERE and can even climb stairs now - He has learned to wait for Mommy or Daddy at the bottom before going up.  He is also able to climb onto the ottoman or couch now by himself.  Eating and feeding himself is going great.  We pretty much give him whatever we are having to eat, which is nice!  He is learning to use a spoon and a fork now too.  His favorite food right now is grapes and mac n cheese (of course) and his least favorite is still green beans.  Nolan still babbles a ton and will occasionally repeat a word or phrase he heres us say, but then of course will not say it again on command.  The few words he can say regularly now are "Momma, Dada, Uh-oh, Papa, READY!, GO!, Yes or Yeah, All done and (very rarely) Please".  Nolan is still finding more and more things to get into... his favorite thing to rearrange right now are ALL of the DVDs in the media cabinet... fun times for Mommy.  Nolan still loves playing with cars and trucks and loves to make sounds along with them.  Nolan loves to play outside and explore - we are so thankful that the weather is finally warming up enough to do so.  He loves to collect bugs, leaves, sticks, flowers, you name it.  Nolan still really likes to help Mommy with chores - he is great at putting his toys away and really likes to "help" throw things away... which usually is wonderful, but sometimes he gets a little carried away and we have to fish a milk cup or napkin ring out of there :).

Favorite Memory this Month:  Nolan knows when it is that time of the day for Daddy to get home... he will start saying his name, pick up my phone and act like he is calling him and/or wait by the door and knock until Daddy comes home.  It is so sweet. :)
